Join Emily Carter in a once-in-a-lifetime experience at the incredible and extensive shorelines of the North Coast “Cote’ Nord” of Canada and enjoy island life where nesting Atlantic puffins are steps away from your accommodations.
This photography workshop offers an exclusive and unique photographic adventure in the Cote’ Nord of Canada. Located on a small island within the Mingan Archipelago National Park, you will have incredible bird photographic opportunities, experience life on a quiet island, and be pampered by the resident chef with three generous meals a day.
While the Atlantic puffins are the star, Razorbills also nest on the island. Frequently seen on the island include the Common murre, Savannah sparrows, and shorebirds like the White-rumped sandpiper, Semi-palmated plover, Common eider, Black-back gulls, Herring gulls and more. You may also get the chance to hear a passing blowing Whale, or see the head of a Gray seal popping above the water.
Perhaps one of the best things of life on the island is the sense of peacefulness and quiet surroundings that allow you to slow down, smell the salt air and rediscover yourself.
The workshop rate includes:
Two full days, and two half-days photographic instruction by Emily Carter on Puffin Island. If your flight schedule works to the gateway city, additional field trips will be offered pre and post Island time. Two zoom sessions: one pre-workshop for preparation and orientation, and one post-workshop for Image Review and Editing.
Three nights single occupancy accommodations (one room is two twins and can be shared.) Shared bathroom for all guests. On-site photo reviews and editing tips. Boat transportation to and from the island, gourmet meals with non-alcoholic beverages.
The rate per person is $3,750.00
