Rate: $2,500.00 per person, single occupancy
Fitness level: Moderately easy. Clients should be able to walk up to one mile on a sandy beach.
During this photography workshop, we will explore the area around St. Augustine, Florida including Sweetwater Wetlands Park in Gainesville, Florida, and backroads of central Florida. Several visits to the renowned St. Augustine Alligator Farm bird rookery, and a morning nature cruise on the St. John’s River. Oak allées, and beach settings are visited as well.
Accommodation is in two-bedroom beachfront condos with private rooms and shared common space.
Maximum 8 participants.
TOPICS INCLUDE
Understanding natural habitats and the birds that live in them.
Bird identification, by both sight and sound.
Essential elements in bird photography.
Compositional approaches to bird photography, especially with large flocks.
Technical aspects for proper exposure and capturing birds and birds in flight.
Landscape compositional elements
Creating slow exposures in the early morning light.
WORKSHOP FEE INCLUDES:
Pre-workshop Zoom orientation (will be recorded.)
Post-workshop Zoom image review (date within two weeks of workshop end.)
Accommodation is single rooms with shared common space.
Transportation from Jacksonville International Airport.

WORKSHOP FEE DOES NOT INCLUDE:
Meals, beverages/alcohol, incidentals, tips and souvenirs.
CAMERA GEAR RECOMMENDED
Digital Camera with memory cards & extra batteries.
Lenses: Telephoto 100-500mm, Landscape 25-105mm
Tripod with Gimbal Head for long-lens as well as a ball head for slow exposures.
BACKUP SYSTEM: Laptop with external hard drive and memory card reader.
WEATHER & CLOTHING
The weather can be seasonably unpredictable. Upper 60s during the day and cooler at night. Plan for possibly rainy and overcast days. Pack for dressing in layers and cold nights. Tennis shoes and sandals for footwear.

Reimbursement will be considered if your spot in the workshop is filled by another participant.
